The Thornbury Local has been established for nearly 8 years and is a local favourite on High st. It features two levels, full kitchen, dining room/function room and a balcony and court yard. Our chef is from Italy and is cooking up authentic pizzas, smalls, salads and specials.

The shared philosophy of owners and brothers Andrew and Christian is that The Thornbury Local is always open (six days a week!) and welcomes all. You kind of get a good feeling about humanity when grouchy bar flies are mingling freely with artistic locals, swapping jokes and shouting round’s. The Thornbury Local can be a good spot for a quiet beer, a glass of wine and delicious meal or an ideal place to forget about work the next day and sink an Irishman's share of booze.
